RJA #13a: Field Research Report

My field research was basically a survey conducted on athletes on campus and random students. My survey was simple.

1a. Do you think women should be able to compete with men in sports?
1b. Why?

I asked 10 female athletes and 10 male athletes. After I asked the athletes, I asked 10 random students.

It surprised me to see that most of the girls didn't want to compete with guys. Not because they were afraid to lose or anything like that, but that they enjoyed just playing with girls.

Many of the male athletes responded in the same way. "It isn't about who's better, but it's about who you play with." A male athlete said this because he really didn't care if they played together or not. He was more interested in just playing the game with friends and other class mates.

Many of the random students didn't really care, so many just responded with a, "yea, i guess." Which really didn't help me at first. Then made me realize that I can use it to my advantage in my paper.
