I haven't actually looked for books... I have just looked for internet articles and journals, I was going to look into the books this week.

RJA #5a: Finding Reference Articles

I went to Delicious and looked up Gender Sports and Gender Equity. I came to find some sites that interested me and so I decided to bookmark them.

RJA #3b: Narrowing Research Topic

My original topic was professional sports, but that topic is way to broad. I decided to narrow it down to four main topics: gender discrimination, drug use, media, and pay. As I started writing down ideas I decided to put pay and gender discrimination together, due to the fact that women get paid much less then men and men get paid way too much for throwing a ball around. Afterwards, my topic became gender discrimination within the sports. Not with pay, but the fact that women do not compete with men. So I decided to research why women are not allowed to compete with men.

RJA #3a: Exploring Research Topic

When researching, I usually use google. Ms. Clark has introduced the class to a several sites that may benefit my researh such as: Google Scholar, Google Blog Search, Technorati, Ice Rocket, Addictomatic, Citizendium, Scholarpedia, and Debatepedia.

As I go on, I will add more sites to my list.
