RJA #2b: Research Topic

The topic I chose to research was gender discrimination in sports. I chose this topic because I enjoy sports and at the same time with a culture that is yearning for equality between male and female, I thought that it would be interesting to research this topic. I also want to see if my view on this topic will change after doing research. I will be looking into things such as: pay, preformances,etc.

I know that female pro sports players are paid drastically lower than men. I also know that there is the debate whether women can't even keep up with men when it comes to athletic preformance. I know more, but nothing is coming to mind at the moment... as time goes on, I will add more.

I don't know alot about this topic as well. I don't know the current arguements of both sides. I have no idea if women are making any progress in eliminating this gender discrimination in professional sports. What actions are they taking to overcome this?
